| Title | Probabilistic Seismic Demand & Resilience-Based Design for Structures in High Seismic Risk Zones — Kashmir Valley |
| Principal Investigator | Dr. Zubair Rashid Wani |
| Funding agency | HEFA (Higher Education Financing Agency) — CSR Research Grant |
| Sanctioned amount | ₹50,00,000 (₹50 lakh) |
| Duration | 2025 – 2028 |
| Status | Ongoing |
The Kashmir Valley lies in Seismic Zone V, the highest hazard category in the Indian seismic code, yet resilience-based design frameworks calibrated to local ground motion, construction typologies and building stock remain largely absent. The project develops probabilistic seismic demand models and a resilience-based design methodology specific to the region.
Recognised Proposals
