About CUK Science Campus:

The Science Campus of the Central University Kashmir is situated at Nunar in Ganderbal District. This Campus is about 24 Kilometres from Srinagar’s Lal-chowk City centre and 14 Kilometres from the main Campus Tulmulla. The Science Campus is located less than 6 Kilometres from the Green Campus of the University.

After operating from outside the Ganderbal district for years, the University shifted science departments to the erstwhile District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Building at Nuner, Ganderbal in 2018. Like the other campuses of the University at Ganderbal, the decision by the University to move to the location was to realise the dream of establishing all the campuses in Central University’s home district of Ganderbal. The new location has facilitated the department in providing a separate base for growing as a hub of scientific research and development. Currently, students from major science subjects like Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology and Chemistry are pursuing their higher studies in the Campus.

The science campus at Nunar is equipped with high speed internet, smart class rooms, 24/7 CCTV surveillance and other facilities. Various science labs have also been established at the campus. Following academic departments are located at the Science Campus:

1. Department of Biotechnology.
2. Department of Zoology.
3. Department of Botany.
4. Department of Chemistry.

1. Lal Chowk (Srinagar) > Dalgate >  Khanyar > Soura > Nagbal > Behama > Science Campus Nuner. 
2. Lal Chowk (Srinagar) > Karan Nagar >  Eidgah> > Soura > Nagbal > Behama > Science Campus Nuner.
