Dr. John Babu Koyye is a Senior Assistant Professor of Convergent
Journalism at Central University of Kashmir, Srinagar J&K India. He
has represented the University in the Festival of Innovations-2016 held at
Rastrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi. He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass
Communication from Andhra University and taught at Acharya Nagarjuna
University (2010-2013). John is the founder and the Editor-in-Chief of “International
Journal of Communication & Social Research” (IJCSR -
ijcsr.info), publishing from India. He produced a documentary “Communication
for Gujjars of Kashmir” and is an instrumental in generating awareness on
social issues through the “puppetry”. He published 13 papers in reputed
journals, 10 book chapters, 13 articles and four books: Role of Radio
in Primary Education (2010), Media and Human Rights (2015), Media
and Communication for Development (2016), Public Relations:
Concepts, Practices and Applications (2018). John has attended
the 5th Annual International Conference on Safety of Journalists covering
conflict and sensitive issues held at Oslo, Norway during 6-8 November of 2019.
John holds additional responsibilities in CUK: Coordinator-Innovations, Dept.
of Students Welfare, and Liaison Officer-OBC Cell.
