About the Programme

One-Year M.Com Programme

The One-Year M.Com Programme offered by the Department of Commerce is an intensive postgraduate course for graduates who want to advance their knowledge of commerce in a shorter time. Spread over two semesters, it builds a strong conceptual foundation and analytical skills in contemporary commerce. Students choose between two specialisations, Accounting and Finance and International Business, which prepare them for careers in accounting, financial management, banking and global trade.

The programme has two tracks: With Research and Without Research. The research track suits students who want to pursue higher studies, academia or a research career. It develops methodological rigour and independent inquiry through a dissertation. The non-research track emphasises coursework and professional competence and prepares students for industry roles. Both tracks aim to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled and ready for the workplace.

Eligibility Criteria

B.Com, BBA, B.Com Honors from a recognized university with at least 50% marks or its equivalent on grading scale of respective universities (45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD candidates).
