Established in 2017, the Department of Commerce is an integral part of the School of Business Studies. It offers a two-year, full-time Master of Commerce programme and One Year Full time M.com Programme , since 2021, a doctoral (PhD) programme. Three batches have graduated so far, many of whom now hold positions in leading corporate houses across the country, while others have become entrepreneurs who have founded their own enterprises. The Department’s vision is to be recognised as a leading centre of commerce education in India, nurturing intellectual leaders who can succeed as entrepreneurs and professionals in ever-changing markets. Its mission is to offer high-quality master’s, doctoral, and executive development programmes that prepare a diverse student population for successful business careers through innovative teaching, impactful research, and community engagement in a knowledge-driven economy.
