Dr. Chandrakiran

Dr. Chandrakiran is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at the Central University of Kashmir, specializing in Limnology, Freshwater Ecology, Ecotoxicology, and Environmental Toxicology. Her research focuses on freshwater ecosystem health, emerging pollutants, cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms, wastewater remediation, and environmental risk assessment. She combines field-based ecological investigations with advanced analytical and statistical approaches to address contemporary environmental challenges. Before joining academia, she gained valuable international research and industrial experience at the School of Natural Resources, University of Nebraska–Lincoln, USA, Boston University, USA and Merck KGaA, Boston. She is committed to advancing sustainable environmental management through innovative research, teaching, and student mentorship.
