Dr. Prince Gupta

Dr. Prince Gupta completed his M.Sc. (Physics) from IIT Roorkee in 2010 with specialization in Laser Physics. Subsequently, he completed his PhD from IIT Kanpur in 2018 in the fields of nanoplasmonics and metasurfaces. He has more than 6 years of post-PhD research experience in nanoplasmonics/metasurfaces and has published several peer-reviewed journal papers (research as well as review articles) in international journals. He worked as postdoctoral fellow at various universities/institutes namely; Yonsei University South Korea (Dec. 2017 to Oct. 2019), University of Southern Denmark-Denmark (Nov. 2019 to Oct. 2021), KTH Royal Institute of Technology-Sweden (Jan. 2022 to Jan 2023), and CNRS-UMR6303 Carnot de Bourgogne Interdisciplinary Laboratory-France (Mar. 2023 to Jul. 2024). He is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Physics at Central University of Kashmir from July 2024. His research interests include plasmonic metasurfaces, plasmonic near-fields, perfect absorption, SERS/SEF,  surface plasmon and molecular interaction, up-conversion luminescence, biosensing, radiative cooling, on-chip thermal emitters, plasmonic arithmetic and logic gates based all optical processors, and solar energy harvesting etc.

He aim to pursue an interdisciplinary research specific in plasmonic metasurfaces consisting of both electronics and photonics research, focused on utilizing cutting edge technologies to make more advance and precise interaction of light with matter at nano-metric dimension and their spectroscopic/thermal applications, which will lead to the next generation of sensitive and specific state-of-art nanophotonic devices.
