It is with great pride and purpose that I welcome you to the Department of Physical Education at the Central University of Kashmir.

Our mission is to empower students through high quality of education, research, and physical literacy that goes beyond classrooms and into real-life performance. Physical Education plays a pivotal role in shaping balanced individuals physically strong, mentally resilient, emotionally stable, and socially responsible.

As the Director of Sports, I am committed to nurturing a dynamic and inclusive sporting environment at the university. Through structured training programs, competitive exposure, and value-based leadership, we aim to develop not only top-tier athletes but also individuals who carry forward the spirit of sportsmanship in every walk of life.

Our department takes pride in its achievements and in the growing recognition of our students at regional, national, and international platforms. We continue to evolve with innovative practices in teaching and training, while maintaining a strong foundation of discipline, teamwork, and wellness. Students understand the importance of fitness and health, and engage in physical activities as life-long commitment and maintain quality of life.
