Rigzen Gurmet is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Buddhist Studies, Central University of Kashmir. He completed his PhD and M.Phil from the University of Delhi, specializing in the Drukpa Kagyud tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, with research focusing on the lineage and practice of Drukpa Kagyud. His academic interests include Nalanda Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, Buddhist psychology, Buddhist ethics, and Himalayan Buddhist traditions. He taught at the University of Delhi, Arunachal University of Studies, and international institutions in Vietnam, Bhutan, and Thailand. Dr. Gurmet has published research papers and books on Tibetan Buddhism and universal ethics, contributed to curriculum development, and actively participated in national and international conferences. He also serves on the editorial boards of journals related to religion and Nalanda Buddhism and has been involved in various educational, cultural, and social initiatives promoting Himalayan Buddhist heritage, language, and community welfare.
