It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kashmir. The Department is committed to excellence in teaching, research and academic innovation, while fostering a stimulating and inclusive environment for the study of mathematics.

Our academic programmes are designed to develop a strong foundation in pure and applied mathematics, logical reasoning, analytical thinking and problem-solving. In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, the Department promotes multidisciplinary learning, research-oriented education, skill development and the use of modern computational tools. Through lectures, seminars, workshops, research projects and academic interactions, we encourage students to explore mathematics beyond the classroom and appreciate its significance in science, technology and society.

The Department has a dedicated faculty actively engaged in teaching and research across diverse areas of mathematics.
