Brief Profile
Dr. Rehana Shawl is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Law CUK and also holds the position of Youth Welfare officer at CUK . She is member of ICC and Sports Committee CUK, also serving as Examination In-charge for postgraduate programme, SLS, CUK. She has done B.Sc. from Women’s College ,Srinagar and BSC, LL.B LL.M and Ph .D from University of Kashmir Srinagar. Before joining Central University of Kashmir , she has worked as Lecturer at Kashmir Law College. She has contributed as Assistant Editor to the Kashmir Journal of Legal Studies. She has also worked as Assistant Proctor , Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir. Following her interest in Criminal law, Criminology , Human Rights , ADR and Indian Legal History she has two books to her credit and has published 20 Articles in reputed journals in the country. She has participated in and presented research papers in both national and international Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. She has contributed to E- Content development as a subject expert at Central University of Kashmir in the subject of ADR( Alternate Dispute Resolution) of BA.LLB Programme. She has also contributed to E- Content and MOOCs development as a subject expert of BA.LLB Programme developed at the Centre, under the National Mission of Education through Information Communication Technology (NME-ICT) launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India organised by EMMRC, University of Kashmir. She is also a life member of reputed societies and associations.
