Brief Profile
Ms. Kinjal Bagdi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir. She holds an LL.M. in Criminal and Security Law from the National Law University, Gandhinagar, and a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. She has also qualified the National Eligibility Test, State Eligibility Test, and the All India Bar Examination, all in 2023.
Her approach to legal education is rooted in curiosity, critical inquiry, and the belief that law, taught with passion and purpose, has the power to transform lives. Her research and teaching interests centre on criminal law, constitutional law, and public interest litigation. Her internship experience spans the People's Union for Civil Liberties, Chandigarh State Legal Services Authorities, and the Government of India's Swachh Bharat programme, giving her a grounded, practice-oriented perspective on the law.
Beyond teaching, she is deeply involved in the institutional life of the university. She currently serves as Examination Nodal Officer for the Undergraduate Programme, Co-Coordinator of the Law Society, Incharge of the Cultural Events Club and the Centre for Public Interest Litigation, Coordinator for Non-Local Students, and is a member of the Anti-Ragging Committee, Grievance Committee, and Library Committee.
