Brief Profile
Dr. Krishna Chaitanya E. is an Associate Professor, Department of English, School of Languages, Central University of Kashmir. He received PhD & M.Phil., in English Language Teaching (ELT) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He obtained Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English (PGDTE)&Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English (PGCTE) in ELT from the English and Foreign Languages(EFL) University, Hyderabad. He completed M.A. and B.A. in English Literature from Osmania University. He has 20 years of teaching experience teaching Under Graduate (B.Tech) and Post Graduate (M.Tech) courses in India and the Gulf region.He worked in the capacity of Assistant and Associate Professor from 2007 to 2024 in MGIT, Hyderabad; Assistant Professor from 2005 to 2007 in ASTRA, Hyderabad and Lecturer from 2003 to 2005 in Nalanda Junior college. During his career, he has taught Communication Skills, Soft Skills, Employability Skills, Technical Communication and Business Communication along English for Research Paper Writing. During his tenure at MGIT, he has taken up administrative responsibilities viz. Member Secretary of Academic Council, Department Coordinator for several activities, In-charge, Staff Transport Section and Faculty-in-charge for English Language Labs and many Student Clubs.
He has been a recognized PhD supervisor from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) and a certified examiner and trainer from Airport Authority of India - The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (AAI-DGCA); Interlocutor and Examiner for Cambridge English and British Council. In addition to this, he is a peer reviewer for Research Information and Management System (RIMS), Oman, to review and approve the research proposals to get grants. Also, he has conducted workshops, faculty development programmes and training programmes for teachers and students in India and Saudi Arabia. He has designed tailor-made courses/modules and delivered on line on voluntary basis and delivered more than 40 guest lectures, invited talks and research papers and won best paper presenter awards on many national and international platforms.
Also, he has published more than 30 research papers in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS) and UGC Care listed journals and filed and published 2 patents, published 4 books and 5 book chapters. One of his recent books (co-authored) titled ‘Life Skills and Personality Development’ was published by Cambridge University Press (CUP). His research interests include English Language Teaching, English for Specific Purposes, Continuous Professional Development of Teachers, Collaborative Action Research, Technology Assisted Language Teaching and Learning and Flipped Classroom Pedagogy, and Technical, Internet-based and AI tools for learning and teaching English Language.
