Dr. Sunil Gawande

Dr. Sunil Gawande is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education, School of Education, Central University of Kashmir. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, and a Master’s degree in Teacher Education from Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar. His doctoral research focused on academic performance, organisational behaviour, and leadership preference styles of heads of higher secondary institutions. His academic and research interests include Teacher Education, Educational Philosophy, Educational Psychology, Educational Technology, NEP 2020, STEM Education, 21st-Century Skills, and Educational Assessment. His work emphasises interdisciplinary approaches to teaching, learning, and educational research.

Dr. Gawande is currently supervising four Ph.D. scholars in Education at the Central University of Kashmir. Their research areas include educational navigation skills, academic resilience, digital homework, self-regulated learning, psychological capital, mindfulness, gratitude, social media addiction, and student preparedness.  He has published research papers in UGC CARE-listed and refereed journals on academic achievement, mental health, teaching effectiveness, educational psychology, instructional methods, and Indian educational philosophy. He has also actively participated in academic seminars, conferences, and faculty development programmes on educational technology, NEP 2020, Indian knowledge systems, teacher well-being, and contemporary educational issues.

His academic contributions include research supervision, curriculum development, academic coordination, and participation in scholarly activities. He is committed to promoting quality teacher education, evidence-based educational practices, and innovative approaches to teaching and research. Through his academic and research endeavours, he seeks to contribute to the advancement of educational studies and the professional development of teachers.
