Dr. Masroor Ahmad

Dr Masroor Ahmad is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Central University of Kashmir. Currently he is also Head of the Department. He received his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University ( BHU) in 2018. He completed his Master’s in Economics from University of Kashmir in 2009.  He was selected for the post of lecturer through JK PSC in 2009. He qualified Jammu and Kashmir Economics Services in 2011 and Joined the Department of Planning Development & Monitoring  in 2011 as Assistant Director. He joined Central University of Kashmir in 2012 as Assistant Professor and was appointed as Associate professor in 2023 in the same university through direct recruitment process.  He has successfully guided 4 Ph.D. Scholars and 3 M.Phil. Scholars. Also, he has published more than 35 research papers in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS) and UGC Care listed journals and has completed three Research projects. His research interests include Macro- Public Finance, Fiscal Federalism and Energy Economics.
