Welcome to the Department of Botany at Central University of Kashmir.

It is a matter of great privilege for me to lead this department at an institution that continues to fulfill the academic aspirations of students across the Kashmir Valley. As Coordinator of the Department, my vision is to strengthen our academic and research profile while nurturing a scientific mindset grounded in curiosity, discipline, and innovation.

The Department of Botany offers a comprehensive academic experience that spans core and advanced areas of plant sciences, including plant physiology, taxonomy, genetics, epigenetics, reproductive biology, microbiology, plant pathology, metabolism, and environmental botany. Our programs are designed to provide students with a balanced mix of conceptual knowledge and hands-on laboratory training.
